Educational and Professional Summary
Christina received her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth-Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2018. She previously received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a minor in European studies with an emphasis in Czech language from Chico State University, CA.
For Christina, a combination of Depth Psychology, a background rooted in behavioral psychology and a deep understanding and practice of mindfulness assist her in helping to illuminate a healthier more integrated approach to living and loving, as well uncovering a person’s inner well of resiliency.
Christina’s clinical background includes working with children, adolescents, families and individuals struggling with trauma, emotional difficulties and mental health related issues. Christina has facilitated teen anger management groups as well as suicide and child-loss grief groups.
Christina’s therapeutic approach is based upon the belief that each of us carries within the wisdom and tools to initiate our own healing. Depth Psychology uncovers a passion for the unconscious world of myth, image, and metaphor. Christina believes our unconscious has much to tell us if only we begin to understand the language in which it speaks.
In her free time, Christina enjoys traveling, campfires, poetry, reading, dream-tending, friendship and family time. Christina is delighted to begin a somatic psychotherapy certification in the fall. This will enhance her expertise of integrating the body, creativity, movement, and spirituality into her work.
