Julie provides personalized therapy to adolescents, adults, and couples seeking assistance with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She also serves clients ready to focus on healthy communication and relationships. An adoptee, she's especially equipped to share adoption-related support.
Caring and empathetic, Julie prioritizes your trust and safety. After 20+ years raising a family and working in public relations, she was driven to pursue a role in marriage and family therapy to serve others. Beyond earning a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, experience includes providing therapeutic services to clients in a Southern California community center before moving to San Luis Obispo.
Julie is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #133608) supervised by Camille Johnson (LMFT #81572).
Therapeutic Approach
Julie offers person-centered talk therapy, supplemented with somatic work, mindfulness, CBT, sand tray, and other evidence-based approaches in a culturally aware, intentional space. She supports clients who have experienced trauma with deep caring and gentleness, all with a focus on illuminating your strengths and equipping you with tools to access across your lifetime. Outside the office, Julie is inspired by nature, music, writing, and time with friends and family. She's especially grateful for her doggie soulmate, Ruby, and loves living on California's Central Coast.
