About
Ashley provides therapy to adolescents, adults, families, and couples seeking support with challenges such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship issues. She offers a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where clients are welcomed just as they are. Ashley deeply values the therapeutic relationship and meets clients where they are—while gently guiding them toward growth and healing.
Her clinical experience includes working at San Luis Obispo Counseling Clinic and Aspire Counseling Services, where she offered individual, family, and group therapy for teens and adults. She also has a background in supporting children with special needs and their families. These experiences have shaped Ashley into a compassionate, empathetic, and attuned therapist.
Ashley is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #155017) and is supervised by Camille Johnson, LMFT (#81572).
Therapeutic Approach
Ashley uses an integrative approach to therapy, drawing primarily from person-centered, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based modalities. She helps clients identify and access their existing strengths, while also cultivating new internal resources that align with their personal values.
With a commitment to authenticity and active listening, Ashley strives to create meaningful connections and ensure clients feel truly heard and understood. She recognizes that therapy can be a vulnerable and challenging process, and she honors the courage it takes for clients to share deeply personal parts of themselves.
Good To Know
In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time at the beach, soaking up the sun, and swimming in the ocean. She loves morning jogs, preparing nourishing meals to share with others, and starting her day with a good book or podcast and a hot cup of coffee.
