About

Kayla is a warm and collaborative Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #150828), supervised by Camille Johnson, LMFT (#81572). She supports adults, teens, and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship stress, and life transitions.

Her clinical background includes working in community-based settings with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, many of whom have experienced complex trauma. These experiences shaped her into an empathetic, grounded therapist who values building strong, trusting relationships as the foundation for healing.

Kayla strives to create a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered—where they don’t have to hold everything together on their own.

Therapeutic Approach

Kayla takes a holistic, trauma-informed approach to therapy that honors the whole person—their history, relationships, identity, and inner strengths. She draws from mindfulness, attachment theory, person-centered therapy, and family systems, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of her clients.

Her work is collaborative, thoughtful, and paced with care. Kayla helps clients explore how past experiences may shape present-day challenges, while offering practical tools for coping, growth, and healing. Clients can expect a grounded presence, gentle reflection, and supportive nudges toward change when it feels right.
Above all, Kayla aims to offer a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen and supported on their journey.

Good To Know

Outside of her work as a therapist, Kayla enjoys crafting, spending time in nature, reading, attending live music events, and connecting with family and friends. These creative and restorative activities help her stay grounded and reflect the same values of presence, joy, and connection that she brings into her clinical work.
